Laura
Helsel-Biography
Laura Helsel is the creator
and director of the Pilates Process Method.
Originally from White Rock, B.C., she travelled extensively throughout
Canada and the USA as a professional ballet and modern dance, eventually
settling in Toronto where she taught dance classes. In 2001, Laura opened her own Pilates studio,
working with respected physiotherapists and trained in biomechanics. After years of training clients with chronic
pain, Laura developed a more clinically based therapeutic approach, and that is
when Pilates Process was developed.
